We are here to serve
Richard Lamade,
President
“You won’t have an event, if your guests don’t get there”
Long
time resident of Wheaton, IL, Dick is a father of three, grandfather
of four, and has been happily married for 35 years. Dick started out
as a high school math teacher, which led to a long string of various
occupations, until he found the job he was searching for. 25 years
after entering the industry, the business of meeting & convention
ground transportation has given Dick a lot of knowledge about
managing vehicles and people.
Dick
started Convention Components, Inc. 9 years ago after realizing that
there were a lot of people managing ground transportation, who
lacked an ability to devise and operate a plan that fits into the
overall plan of the convention. It is true that anyone can drop the
people at the right door, but good ground transportation management
means dropping the people off at the right door when it is best for
the convention to have the people dropped off at that door. He makes
the transportation plan part of the overall convention plan.
Given that he has been working with event coordinators for the past
25 years, Dick has become skilled in many areas outside of ground
transportation management, and Dick has hired a team who he believes
can also successfully carry-out these different components.
Mark
Lamade,
Business Development
“Our business is moving people”
Whoever said family shouldn’t work together, has never met or seen
Dick and Mark on the job. These two have often been called the
“Lamade Comedy,” and have impressed many with their easy-going
personalities. They do not let little changes, or unforeseen
circumstances bring them down. They are ready to adjust in a split
second to make your experience a good one!
Mark
joined the Convention Components team three years ago, and opened up
the Atlanta-region office. He loves getting to know new people
and hearing their stories...and sharing his. He is fun to work
for, and to work with. And most importantly, Mark has shown the ability to
make decisions based on a sense of what is best for the client,
while keeping in mind the bottom line.
Caitlin Boersma,
Office Manager
“Small Businesses can do Big Things”
Growing up as the daughter of a small business owner, Caitlin spent
much time helping with the many different responsibilities that come
with owning your own business. For 23 years, Dick witnessed her
extreme sense of organization, her creative and innovative
perspective, and her strong leadership skills in and out of the
office. Therefore, he believed that Caitlin would excel as the
CCI office manager. She now spends her time keeping track of
the many events that CCI assists with, maintaining and developing
all forms of communications, and overseeing the billing.
Brent Boersma, Operations
Before being hired in the summer of 2009, Brent served alongside the
CCI team at a number of events nationwide. During this time
"the boss" recognized that Brent's calm state of mind, eagerness to
serve wherever and whenever, and his great attitude would make him
an asset to the company. Brent has been learning the ropes
ever since and has his hands in the planning of most events.
He loves people, and looks forward to the chance to serve at your
next event!

Pepper & Moksha,
Mascots & Loving
Companions
Pepper is the beloved
shitzu who appears at every Lamade family gathering. He belongs to
Tess Gallagher the original webmaster for the CCI website.
Moksha is the newest
member to the CCI team. This 4 month old shitzu/bishon mix sleeps
under Caitlin's desk during office hours, and lovingly greets our
guests when they enter the office. He has been a fun addition
to the team!
Field Staff
Convention Components, Inc
has an extensive list of local staff in most convention cities
across the USA. This works to your advantage because we don't spend
your money transporting in people from out-of-state who need
flights, hotel rooms and per-diems; who are visitors to the city you
selected for your event just as you are. We put local staff to work
who know the area you are visiting, and know the vehicle operators
you need to work for you.
